--- abstract: 'Objective: To determine if there are monthly variations in the rate of deliveries in Burdwan Medical College West Bengal, India. Materials and Methods: A retrospective descriptive study carried out in the Burdwan Medical College. We extracted the total number of deliveries from the hospital records for over four year period and analyzed the figures for the monthly variation in delivery rates. This was repeated for a standardized 30-day month and the findings noted. The extracted data then fed into a computer and analysis was performed, based on the grouping of the delivery rates per month. Results: The monthly distribution of total deliveries showed a slightly sinusoidal pattern with two peaks. A major peak spanning two months, August and September and another small peak in April and May. The figure also depicted the nadir number of deliveries to occur majorly in February and March and another in December. Conclusion: There is a seasonal variation in delivery rates in our study.' altloc: - http://www.ojhas.org/issue50/2014-2-1.html chapter: ~ commentary: ~ commref: ~ confdates: ~ conference: ~ confloc: ~ contact_email: ~ creators_id: - shibramchatt@gmail.com - ~ - ~ - ~ - ~ creators_name: - family: Chattopadhyay given: S honourific: '' lineage: '' - family: Pal given: A honourific: '' lineage: '' - family: Jana given: N honourific: '' lineage: '' - family: Maity given: D honourific: '' lineage: '' - family: Bandopadhyay given: S honourific: '' lineage: '' date: 2014-08-30 date_type: published datestamp: 2017-02-18 20:31:53 department: ~ dir: disk0/00/00/98/23 edit_lock_since: ~ edit_lock_until: 0 edit_lock_user: ~ editors_id: - Kakkilaya BS editors_name: - family: Kakkilaya given: Srinivas honourific: Dr lineage: '' eprint_status: archive eprintid: 9823 fileinfo: /style/images/fileicons/application_pdf.png;/9823/1/2014-2-1.pdf full_text_status: public importid: ~ institution: ~ isbn: ~ ispublished: pub issn: ~ item_issues_comment: [] item_issues_count: ~ item_issues_description: [] item_issues_id: [] item_issues_reported_by: [] item_issues_resolved_by: [] item_issues_status: [] item_issues_timestamp: [] item_issues_type: [] keywords: 'Delivery rates, Seasonal variation' lastmod: 2017-02-18 20:31:53 latitude: ~ longitude: ~ metadata_visibility: show note: ~ number: 2 pagerange: ~ pubdom: TRUE publication: Online Journal of Health and Allied Sciences publisher: Kakkilaya BS refereed: TRUE referencetext: "1.\tSubramaniam V.
