--- abstract: 'Himalayan or giant P-waves (amplitude =5 mm) are often known to be classically associated with congenital heart diseases with right to left shunt like tricuspid atresia, Ebstein anomaly, combined tricuspid and pulmonic stenosis, etc, where they indicate a dilated right atrium and tend to be persistent. These type P waves are rarely seen in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and in this condition it may be due to structural right atrial changes or hypoxemia or combination of both. Here we report a case of COPD with Himalayan P waves which is a rare entity.' altloc: - http://www.ojhas.org/issue48/2013-4-13.html chapter: ~ commentary: ~ commref: ~ confdates: ~ conference: ~ confloc: ~ contact_email: ~ creators_id: - ~ - nmsbabu18@yahoo.com - ~ - ~ - ~ - ~ creators_name: - family: Kumar SS given: S honourific: '' lineage: '' - family: Babu given: SNM honourific: '' lineage: '' - family: Mahajan given: SK honourific: '' lineage: '' - family: Kaushik given: M honourific: '' lineage: '' - family: Verma given: BS honourific: '' lineage: '' - family: Kaushal given: SS honourific: '' lineage: '' date: 2014-02-20 date_type: published datestamp: 2015-02-21 14:36:20 department: ~ dir: disk0/00/00/97/20 edit_lock_since: ~ edit_lock_until: 0 edit_lock_user: ~ editors_id: - Kakkilaya BS editors_name: - family: Kakkilaya given: Srinivas honourific: Dr lineage: '' eprint_status: archive eprintid: 9720 fileinfo: /9720/1.hassmallThumbnailVersion/2013-4-13.pdf;/9720/1/2013-4-13.pdf full_text_status: public importid: ~ institution: ~ isbn: ~ ispublished: pub issn: ~ item_issues_comment: [] item_issues_count: ~ item_issues_description: [] item_issues_id: [] item_issues_reported_by: [] item_issues_resolved_by: [] item_issues_status: [] item_issues_timestamp: [] item_issues_type: [] keywords: Himalayan P waves; Giant; Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease lastmod: 2015-04-20 11:43:10 latitude: ~ longitude: ~ metadata_visibility: show note: ~ number: 4(13) pagerange: ~ pubdom: TRUE publication: Online Journal of Health and Allied Sciences publisher: Kakkilaya BS refereed: TRUE referencetext: "1.\tReddy SC, Zuberbuhler JR.
