title: Axillary Schwannoma: Diagnosed on Fine Needle Aspiration Cytology creator: Nikumbh, DB creator: Janugade, HB creator: Mali, RK creator: Madan, PS creator: Wader, JV subject: Online Journal of Health and Allied Sciences description: Schwannomas affect mainly head, neck and flexor aspect of the limbs. Axillary Schwannoma is extremely uncommon, that is neurogenic tumors arising from brachial plexus are rare. We report one such rare case of a solitary axillary Schwannoma which was diagnosed on fine needle aspiration cytology (FNAC) and subsequently confirmed by histopathological examination. Clinically it was diagnosed as axillary lymphadenopathy and FNAC was advised to rule out granulomatous lymphadenitis. publisher: BS Kakkilaya contributor: Kakkilaya, Dr Srinivas date: 2011-04-15 type: Journal (On-line/Unpaginated) type: PeerReviewed format: application/pdf identifier: http://cogprints.org/7833/1/2011-1-20.pdf identifier: Nikumbh, DB and Janugade, HB and Mali, RK and Madan, PS and Wader, JV (2011) Axillary Schwannoma: Diagnosed on Fine Needle Aspiration Cytology.
