Soybean has antioxidative activity and protects tissues from oxidative stress-induced injury. Although isoflavones present in soy are believed to be major components responsible for the antioxidative activity, a recent study showed that anthocyanins present in black soybean had strong antioxidative potential. The present study focuses on both the antioxidant and antimicrobial potential of Glycine max. publisher: CurrentSciDirect Publications date: 2011-04-30 type: Journal (Paginated) type: PeerReviewed format: application/pdf identifier: http://cogprints.org/7302/1/A_complete_evaluation_of_the_antioxidant_and_antimicrobial_potential_of_Glycine_max_.pdf identifier: Babu Shankar Ponnusha , Boopathi subramaniyam , Sathiyamoorthy Subramaniyam, Palanisamy Pasupathi, Rajaram Virumandy.
