--- abstract: 'The present paper aims to analyse Marx’s concept of “fetishism of commodities” by explaining the mechanism of a social genesis of determined illusions, arising in the sphere of production and circulation of commodities. It highlights the existence of an auto-sustained autarkic system of 4 variables – reification, objectification, duplicity and habit - sustaining and leading to the fetishism of commodities.' altloc: [] chapter: ~ commentary: ~ commref: ~ confdates: ~ conference: ~ confloc: ~ contact_email: ~ creators_id: - ad574@york.ac.uk creators_name: - family: Dobra given: Alexandra honourific: '' lineage: '' date: 2010-10-30 date_type: published datestamp: 2010-11-22 14:18:41 department: ~ dir: disk0/00/00/71/27 edit_lock_since: ~ edit_lock_until: 0 edit_lock_user: ~ editors_id: [] editors_name: [] eprint_status: archive eprintid: 7127 fileinfo: /style/images/fileicons/application_pdf.png;/7127/1/dobra10b.pdf full_text_status: public importid: ~ institution: ~ isbn: ~ ispublished: pub issn: ~ item_issues_comment: [] item_issues_count: 0 item_issues_description: [] item_issues_id: [] item_issues_reported_by: [] item_issues_resolved_by: [] item_issues_status: [] item_issues_timestamp: [] item_issues_type: [] keywords: 'Marx, Fetishism; Commodities; Social Relations; Reification; Duplication.' lastmod: 2011-03-11 08:57:49 latitude: ~ longitude: ~ metadata_visibility: show note: ~ number: 7 pagerange: 1-9 pubdom: TRUE publication: E-Logos Electronic Journal for Philosophy publisher: University of Economics Prague refereed: TRUE referencetext: "Adorno, T.
