--- abstract: 'Two hundred student volunteers of 16-24 yrs were divided into two groups of 100 each, as children of hypertensive and children of normotensive parents. It was observed that there was no difference in resting SBP and DBP in both groups before CPT. After CPT, significant higher values of SBP after immersion, DBP after immersion, difference of SBP and difference of DBP were observed in children of hypertensive parents as compared to children of normotensive parents. This study can be used as a predictor of future development of hypertension for which early preventive measures can be taken to reduce the morbidity and mortality due to hypertensive complications.' altloc: - http://www.ojhas.org/issue33/2010-1-7.htm chapter: ~ commentary: ~ commref: ~ confdates: ~ conference: ~ confloc: ~ contact_email: ~ creators_id: - shilekh@gmail.com - ~ - ~ creators_name: - family: Garg given: S honourific: '' lineage: '' - family: Kumar given: A honourific: '' lineage: '' - family: Singh given: KD honourific: '' lineage: '' date: 2010-07-30 date_type: published datestamp: 2010-09-13 03:53:06 department: ~ dir: disk0/00/00/69/93 edit_lock_since: ~ edit_lock_until: 0 edit_lock_user: ~ editors_id: - Kakkilaya BS editors_name: - family: Kakkilaya given: Srinivas honourific: Dr lineage: '' eprint_status: archive eprintid: 6993 fileinfo: /style/images/fileicons/application_pdf.png;/6993/1/2010%2D1%2D7.pdf full_text_status: public importid: ~ institution: ~ isbn: ~ ispublished: pub issn: ~ item_issues_comment: [] item_issues_count: 0 item_issues_description: [] item_issues_id: [] item_issues_reported_by: [] item_issues_resolved_by: [] item_issues_status: [] item_issues_timestamp: [] item_issues_type: [] keywords: 'Cold pressor test, Children, Hypertension' lastmod: 2011-03-11 08:57:43 latitude: ~ longitude: ~ metadata_visibility: show note: ~ number: 1 pagerange: ~ pubdom: TRUE publication: Online Journal of Health and Allied Sciences publisher: Dr. B.S.
