Considering that meaning generation is key to cognition, such approach goes with grounding of cognition in sensorimotor coordination. Starting point is meaning generation by a system submitted to a constraint when it receives an incident information that has a connection with the constraint. The system generates a meaningful information (a meaning) in order to trigger an action that will satisfy its constraint. The generated meaning is precisely the connection existing between the received information and the constraint[2]. This simple process allows defining a Meaning Generator System (MGS) as well as groundings of the meaning in /out of the MGS. The action modifies the environment and the generated meaning.
