--- abstract: Accidental poisoning is common in children. Potassium bromate is commonly used additive and raising agent in many edibles especially bread which is a staple food in Nigeria. This communication is that of an unusual case of acute renal failure following accidental ingestion of potassium bromate tablets. altloc: - http://www.ojhas.org/issue29/2009-1-11.htm chapter: ~ commentary: ~ commref: ~ confdates: ~ conference: ~ confloc: ~ contact_email: ~ creators_id: [] creators_name: - family: Adeleke given: SI honourific: '' lineage: '' - family: Asani given: MO honourific: '' lineage: '' date: 2009-05-05 date_type: published datestamp: 2009-07-02 01:44:32 department: ~ dir: disk0/00/00/65/70 edit_lock_since: ~ edit_lock_until: ~ edit_lock_user: ~ editors_id: - Kakkilaya BS editors_name: - family: Kakkilaya given: Srinivas honourific: Dr lineage: '' eprint_status: archive eprintid: 6570 fileinfo: /style/images/fileicons/application_pdf.png;/6570/1/2009%2D1%2D11.pdf full_text_status: public importid: ~ institution: ~ isbn: ~ ispublished: pub issn: ~ item_issues_comment: [] item_issues_count: 0 item_issues_description: [] item_issues_id: [] item_issues_reported_by: [] item_issues_resolved_by: [] item_issues_status: [] item_issues_timestamp: [] item_issues_type: [] keywords: 'Childhood Poisoning, Bromate, Renal failure, Nigeria' lastmod: 2011-03-11 08:57:23 latitude: ~ longitude: ~ metadata_visibility: show note: ~ number: 1 pagerange: ~ pubdom: TRUE publication: Online Journal of Health and Allied Sciences publisher: Dr. BS Kakkilaya refereed: TRUE referencetext: "1.Correls X, Guerra M, Granito M, Ferris J.
