--- abstract: Free peritoneal perforation is a rare complication of Crohn's disease with a report of only 100 cases in the literature. It needs an emergency exploration and an unaware general surgeon is confounded in intraoperative decision-making. We present our experience when this rarity struck us in a district hospital and briefly review the guidelines of optimal management of this complication of Crohn's disease. altloc: - http://www.ojhas.org/issue24/2007-4-6.htm chapter: ~ commentary: ~ commref: ~ confdates: ~ conference: ~ confloc: ~ contact_email: ~ creators_id: - meera_sriram2003@yahoo.com - '' - '' - '' - '' creators_name: - family: Bhat M given: Sriram honourific: '' lineage: '' - family: M given: Ashfaque honourific: '' lineage: '' - family: K given: Balu honourific: '' lineage: '' - family: J given: Madhusudhanan honourific: '' lineage: '' - family: RK given: Sendhil honourific: '' lineage: '' date: 2008-01-24 date_type: published datestamp: 2008-03-10 14:50:00 department: ~ dir: disk0/00/00/59/42 edit_lock_since: ~ edit_lock_until: ~ edit_lock_user: ~ editors_id: - Kakkilaya BS editors_name: - family: Kakkilaya given: Srinivas honourific: Dr. lineage: '' eprint_status: archive eprintid: 5942 fileinfo: /style/images/fileicons/application_pdf.png;/5942/1/2007%2D4%2D6.pdf full_text_status: public importid: ~ institution: ~ isbn: ~ ispublished: pub issn: ~ item_issues_comment: [] item_issues_count: 0 item_issues_description: [] item_issues_id: [] item_issues_reported_by: [] item_issues_resolved_by: [] item_issues_status: [] item_issues_timestamp: [] item_issues_type: [] keywords: "Free perforation, Crohn's disease, Ileal perforation" lastmod: 2011-03-11 08:57:04 latitude: ~ longitude: ~ metadata_visibility: show note: This is an updated version of the deposit http://cogprints.org/5936/ number: 4 pagerange: ~ pubdom: TRUE publication: Online Journal Of Health And Allied Sciences publisher: Dr. B.S.
