--- abstract: We report a case of tracheal stenosis that required the creation of a uniquely adapted permanent tracheostomy. The patient’s case was especially challenging because she had multiple disabilities causing limited movement in her upper extremities that prevented her from active involvement in self-care activities. Co-ordinated efforts by an interdisciplinary team in a Czech health care environment helped the patient to gain as much independence as possible despite her multiple disabilities. altloc: - http://www.ojhas.org/issue24/2007-4-4.htm chapter: ~ commentary: ~ commref: ~ confdates: ~ conference: ~ confloc: ~ contact_email: ~ creators_id: - '' - '' - '' - Petra.Mandysova@upce.cz creators_name: - family: Pellant given: Arnošt honourific: '' lineage: '' - family: Škvrňáková given: Jana honourific: '' lineage: '' - family: Mejzlík given: Jan honourific: '' lineage: '' - family: Mandysová given: Petra honourific: '' lineage: '' date: 2008-01-24 date_type: published datestamp: 2008-02-25 22:42:04 department: ~ dir: disk0/00/00/59/34 edit_lock_since: ~ edit_lock_until: ~ edit_lock_user: ~ editors_id: - Kakkilaya BS editors_name: - family: Kakkilaya given: Srinivas honourific: Dr. lineage: '' eprint_status: archive eprintid: 5934 fileinfo: /style/images/fileicons/application_pdf.png;/5934/1/2007%2D4%2D4.pdf full_text_status: public importid: ~ institution: ~ isbn: ~ ispublished: pub issn: ~ item_issues_comment: [] item_issues_count: 0 item_issues_description: [] item_issues_id: [] item_issues_reported_by: [] item_issues_resolved_by: [] item_issues_status: [] item_issues_timestamp: [] item_issues_type: [] keywords: 'Tracheal Stenosis, Nursing Care, Tracheostomy, Disabled Patient, Quality of Life' lastmod: 2011-03-11 08:57:04 latitude: ~ longitude: ~ metadata_visibility: show note: ~ number: 4 pagerange: ~ pubdom: TRUE publication: Online Journal Of Health And Allied Sciences publisher: Dr. B.S.
