--- abstract: 'Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a common disorder affecting individuals of all ages. Similar to general population, DM can also be seen in HIV infected cases. The prevalence of insulin resistance, glucose intolerance, and diabetes in the HIV-infected population has increased dramatically following the widespread use of highly active antiretroviral therapy (HAART). HIV disease being an important global problem, increasing prevalence of DM among these patients in the HAART era can be expected. Primary care for HIV-infected with reference to DM and follow up for related complications is therefore important' altloc: - http://www.ojhas.org/issue22/2007-2-1.htm chapter: ~ commentary: ~ commref: ~ confdates: ~ conference: ~ confloc: ~ contact_email: ~ creators_id: - wviroj@yahoo.com creators_name: - family: Wiwanitkit given: Viroj honourific: '' lineage: '' date: 2007-11-10 date_type: published datestamp: 2007-11-28 03:15:35 department: ~ dir: disk0/00/00/58/44 edit_lock_since: ~ edit_lock_until: ~ edit_lock_user: ~ editors_id: - Kakkilaya BS editors_name: - family: Kakkilaya given: Srinivas honourific: Dr. lineage: '' eprint_status: archive eprintid: 5844 fileinfo: /style/images/fileicons/application_pdf.png;/5844/1/2007%2D2%2D1.pdf full_text_status: public importid: ~ institution: ~ isbn: ~ ispublished: pub issn: ~ item_issues_comment: [] item_issues_count: 0 item_issues_description: [] item_issues_id: [] item_issues_reported_by: [] item_issues_resolved_by: [] item_issues_status: [] item_issues_timestamp: [] item_issues_type: [] keywords: 'HIV, Diabetes mellitus, Primary care' lastmod: 2011-03-11 08:57:00 latitude: ~ longitude: ~ metadata_visibility: show note: ~ number: 2 pagerange: ~ pubdom: TRUE publication: Online Journal Of Health and Allied Sciences publisher: Dr. B.S.
